Charles founded Sound Benefit Services in 1990, and incorporated in 1995. Charles’ primary responsibilities’ involve managing his individual and group medical, dental & Life accounts and overseeing the day to day operations of a growing insurance agency. Previously, he spent a decade working in the Association Medical field with Nationwide Insurance as agent, then territorial manager.

As a native of Washington State, Charles is involved in his church and daughter’s school, past president of Alderwood-Terrace Rotary, loves camping, hiking and community involvement. Currently, Charles resides in Lynnwood with his wife and one daughter.

Victor Meiusi

Partner

Victor joined Sound Benefit Services in 2003. His primary focus is assisting medium to small sized, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations with self-insured and fully insured benefit plans. His background in working for large insurance companies in all types of managed care and cost structures, a Third Party Administrator and a specialty Reinsurance Company as well as being a business owner, provide a unique perspective in understanding the insurance marketplace as well as the needs of the employer. He works very “hands-on” with his clients and has grown his business almost entirely through referrals. (Thank you!)

He graduated in Business from Seattle Pacific University and his personal interests include skiing, cycling, spending time with his wife and enjoying the various actives of their three children.

Steve Van Nuys

Steve began his career in the insurance industry in 1972 working for a full-service insurance agency, Eugene Insurance Agency, in Eugene, Oregon. In 1974 he was asked to become a partner and join the board of directors. Besides personal production, his duties included overseeing accounts receivables and human resources.

In 1985 he went to work for Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company and in 1986 was asked to become the Regional Sales Director for the state of Washington. His responsibilities were to provide training for new agents and sales training for current agents.

In 1990 he went to work for the firm of Filer Insurance Agency, in Seattle Wa. His responsibilities included personal production as well as working with the property and casualty agents in the other outlying offices to incorporate employee benefits (life, health, & disability) for their commercial accounts.

In 2006 he joined the firm of Sound Benefit Services Inc., an employee benefits firm specializing in providing health, life, disability and administrative services to its clients.

Steve has been married to Cathy for 34 years and has three grown children. He enjoys snow skiing, swimming, racquetball and traveling.

Kelley Lehde

Account Manager

Kelley joined Sound Benefit Services in 2018. She is a Washington native and a graduate of the University of Washington. She has worked in the benefits industry since 2000, and has extensive experience with claims, self-funded plans as well as fully insured plans both through trusts and in the community market. She enjoys helping clients to understand how their benefits work, assisting them with how to navigate the world of insurance and putting their minds at ease. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, as well as going to the beach, camping and seasonal northwest fairs.
